The telephone, fiber optic and internet company A Túa Xanela has acquired a plot of land in the Os Acivros industrial estate (Chantada), where it will set up its base. The purchase has been made for 40,000 euros.Added to the cost of the construction of the facilities, the investment will reach 500,000 euros. The works will begin in June and if all goes well they will be finished in four or five months. The objective of A Túa Xanela is to offer new options in the world of digitization through the ATX Network Solutions brand.Through this firm, it will provide cloud services, cybersecurity, hosting, connectivity, virtual switchboards, cloud storage and digitization through the creation and maintenance of web pages. The owner of A Túa Xanela, Iñaki Castiñeira, anticipates that Os Acivros will also have an operator call center with 24-hour service and an incident recording point. The idea is that about ten jobs will be created in the place.Together with the physical points of sale (in Lugo they are in Chantada, Monforte, Taboada, Monterroso and Sarria) they will allow the company to reach 50 jobs generated this year.Reaching this figure would show a very important growth in just one year and three months of existence. And it is that the A Túa Xanela project started in February 2021 with only six workers with the goal of facilitating, through Rede Aberta, fiber connectivity to the rural populations of Galicia and that connecting to the internet ceases to be a issue. That's how he was born.Iñaki Castiñeira is from Taboada and worked for many years in Barcelona, where he created his first telecommunications company.Every time he returned home he realized the poor access to the internet that was available mainly in rural places, but also in more urban areas.Given the need, he decided to start his new project and offer a service of at least one hundred megabytes to homes that previously had to arm themselves with patience if they wanted to surf the net."Thanks to digitization, many people from here who lived abroad are considering returning to reside on their land," Castiñeira values. In times of teleworking and prioritizing quality of life over the stressful day-to-day life of big cities, the owner of A Túa Xanela believes that it is essential to guarantee a good service to users and to do so at very competitive prices. The work of A Túa Xanela in its short history has also allowed it to go beyond the Ribeira Sacra and the province of Lugo.Currently, the Chantada-based company has points of sale in Silleda, Allariz, Vimianzo, Xinzo de Limia, Caldas de Reis, Negreira, Santa Comba, Carral, Arzúa, A Laracha and Cee.In all these municipalities, A Túa Xanela provides free telephony and fiber services to non-profit entities. In addition, the company has set up a free Wi-Fi point in Monterroso, specifically in the City Hall space known as A Cúpula. In the next few days there will be another operation in Chantada, in the cattle market.
